半纤维素的利用(一)用微生物方法将木糖发酵转化为酒精的研究
UTILIZATION OF HEMICELLULOSE (I) PRODUCTION OF ETHANOL FROM XYLOSE THROUGH ENZYMATIC ISOMERIZATION AND YEAST FERMENTATION
【摘要】 用酶异构和酵母发酵法利用木糖生产酒精是阔叶木和草类植物原料半纤维素利用的一条新途径。木糖通过异构酶的作用可以部分转化为木酮糖。JⅠ和JⅡ两株野生酵母菌是利用木酮糖生产酒精较有前途的菌种,JⅡ的酒精产率可达85.9%。甘蔗渣水解液经过净化和异构化后,用JⅠ,JⅡ、RasseⅫ,和古Ⅱ四种酵母进行发酵,都产生酒精,其中JⅠ和JⅡ的酒精产量比RasseⅫ和古Ⅱ高一倍左右,木精异构化这一步转化率较低,方法有待改进。
【Abstract】 Porduction of ethanol from xylose through enzymatic isomerization and yeast fermentation is a new route for utilizing hardwood hemicellulose and nonwood hemicellulose. Xylose in aqueous solution was partly converted to xylulose (11.7) by glucose isomerase. The formed xylulose was then fermented to ethanol by yeasts. JⅠand JⅡ were the most promising strains for ethanol production from xylulose. The yield of ethanol was over 85% of the theoretical with JⅡ. Ethanol was also produced from bagasse hydrolysate which had been previously purified and isomerized. JⅠand JⅡ were found to be superior to RasseⅫ and CubaⅡ, as they gave twice as much yield of ethanol as the latters. The equilibrium of the isomerization reaction was found to be unfavorable for the formation of xylulose. Further improvement appeared to be necessary for the process before it could be of promising commercial feasibility.
