【Abstract】 The condition for the complex formation of antimony with dibromopheny-Ifluorone in the presence of emulsifier OP has been studied.The complex has a maximum absorption at 570nm with the molar absorption coefficient of 6.09 x 104.Beer’s law is obeyed for 0 to 25mg Sb in 25ml. The interferences of diverse ions can be eliminated by separating antimony as SbH3. The present method has been applied to the determination of antimony in zinc, steel and soil.
