冰晶石-氧化铝-稀土氧化物熔体与铝液间平衡的研究
A STUDY ON EQUILIBRIUM BETWEEN CRYOLITE-ALUMINA-RARE EARTH OXIDE MELTS AND LIQUID ALUMINUM
【摘要】 本文通过两组试验,探讨了冰晶石-氧化铝-稀土氧化物熔体与铝液间的平衡问题。第一组试验研究了该体系在980~1000℃下的置换平衡;第二组试验研究了该体系在960~970℃下的电解平衡。试验结果表明,两种平衡具有不同的特点。前者受化学反应因素控制,后者服从电化学反应规律。研究了NaF/AlF3的分子比、稀土氧化物与氧化铝含量等对体系平衡的影响,给出了稀土金属在铝液与电解质中的平衡浓度数据。
【Abstract】 In order to provide information for the manufacture of aluminum base rare earth alloy, this paper reports two series of measurement to clarify the equilibria between cryolite-alumina-rare earth oxide melts and liquid aluminum. In the first series, testing materials were melted down in crucible, settled till equilibrium and quenched in cold water; then the chemical equilibrium of this system at 980—1000℃ was studied, and the influence of various factors, such as the mole ratio of NaF/AlF3, content of rare earth oxider and alumina, were determined. In the sacond series testing was carried out in aluminum electrolysis cell to study the equilibrium concentration of rare earths in cathode aluminum and the electrolyte during electrolysis at 960~970℃. Results show that these two types of equilibria have different characteristics, the first series is controlled by the factors of chemical reaction, while the sacond is bound to the principles of electrochemical process, and the equibibium concentration ratio of rare earths in the fused salt to that in the liquid aluminum is 3 times more in the former than that in the latter case.
