【Abstract】 The investigation of the land resource in parallel ridge-valley region in the eastern Sichuan has been conducted many times. It has been found that the land resource has gradually formed after neotectonic movement, and it has undergone alternant actions with several geographic processes. The hills and low mountains with various shapes cover 84%. There, it is warm and humid, and fertile purple soils and paddy soils are widely dispered. Besides grain crops, citrus, ramie, sugarcane, tung tree and hot pickled mustard tuber are produced.The agriculture is brisk and industry is flourishing.
