【Abstract】 Experiments were performed on immobilized rats with flaxidel.The influence of stimulation of POA on pain-related discharge of neurons in HVM was studied by extracellular single units recording technique.Experimental results were as follows: Total of 56 neurons in HVM was recorded in 18 rats.37 of 56 units we- re observed and analysed in relation to stimulation of natural pain and noxi- ous stimuiation of sciatic nerve.Among them,23 units in HVM responsed to either natural pain or noxious stimulation of sciatic nerve,we called them as pain-related neurons.During the stimulation of POA,the discharge frequency of pain-related neurons in HVM increased or decreased These results indicated that POA plays a modulating role on neurons of HVM.更多还原
