【Abstract】 The study began in 1983 and lasted 3 years in Weibei loess plateau .Using Pinus tabulaeformis as an object of the study, the evalutioa of site factors at first, and then site classification were systematically studied. After the study in this area, sites of suitable for growth of P. tabulaeformis have been selected, and scientific basis for afforestation of P. tabulaeformis was provided.
