N型单晶碲化镉光电化学电池的研究——(Ⅰ)表面刻蚀与氧化还原偶选择

【摘要】 本文报道了光电极表面刻蚀、氧化还原偶性质对单晶n-GdTe光电化学电池性能的影响。采用恒电流电化学刻蚀处理,可大大提高光电流及填充因子,在短路条件下,电池的量子效率达0.86(波长λ=6328(?)),在X2-/Xn2-(X=S、Se、Te)三种溶液中,能量转换效率在9.7—15.6%之间。n-CdTe在多硫溶液中不稳定,当[S2-]/[S]比大于1时有光致钝化现象。采用多碲溶液,电池在近10mA·cm-2的光电流下连续操作171小时,电流仍无明显下降。 用电化学与光电化学方法测定了n-CdTe的禁带宽度、载流子浓度与平带电位。

【Abstract】 The effects of surface etching and the property of redox couple on the performance of the n-CdTe photoanode have been mainly investigated in this paper.The photocurrent and fill factor are apparently increased by a galvanostatic electrochemical etching process.Under the short circuit condition,the quantum efficiency is 0.86 for wavelength=6328A.The energy conversion efficiencies of PEC cells with X2-/Xn2-(X=S.Se..Te) electrolytes reach 9.7-15.6%.It is found that n-CdTe is unstable in the S2-/Sn2-solution.The photopassivation phenomenon will be observed when the ratio of (S2-)/(S) is larger,than 1.With the Te2-/Te22- electrolyte,the photocurrent of cell does not obviously decrease after operation at a current density near 10 mA·cm-2 for 171 hours.By the aid of some electrochemical and photoelectrochemical methods,the energy gap,concentration of charge carriers and the flatband potential have been determined.
