【Abstract】 The ultrastructural alterations of mitochondria in human spermatogenic cells and histochemical reactions for SDH and LDH in testis of young and adult male rats were observed. It was found that the spermatogenia contained a few of mitochondria with lamellar cristae. The electron dense material between the mitochondria was present only in spermatogonia and early spermatocytes. Some of the intracristal spaces of mitochondria had remarkable expansion in the primary spermatocytes. The activity of SDH in all spermatogenic cells of adult rats reached the moderate level. The intensity of histochemical reaction of LDH reached the moderate level in spermatocytes. It was increased in spermatids. The reaction reached its maximum in the middle piece of mature sperm tails. The correlations of the structural changes and enzymic activities in mitochondria wree discussed.更多还原
