【Abstract】 The profile of 17 amino acids in hemolymph of periplaneta americana and the concentration of 10 amino acids （F, G, I, K, L, M, P, V, W and Y） were determined by DNS-fluorometric method. Proline (54.79×10^-4 M/L)was the most abundant, being 22 times higher than that in human serum; glycine was the second (22.23×10^-4M/L), being nine times the content of it in human strum, The physiological signicance of the findings is discussed.
