【Abstract】 A problem of mining mechanization for steep thick seam in China has not been solved for several years. By using a mechanized sub-level caving method as a solution of the problem is a new way. A trial of a horizontal layer mechanized sub-level caving method was conducted in No.2 seam, No. 2 Mine Yaojie Coal Mine Bureau, March 1985. It has obtained good technical and economic results as followiog. A working face with 20 meter long has a month production of 19036 tonnes and a max. day production is upto 970 tonnes which is twice as much as the old mining method. The mining efficiency·is about 12.438 tonnes/man which is four times as much as previously. The mining recovery rate is about 85-90%which is 20% more than the previous. This succesful trial has a great significance to mechanization problem which is needed to be solved in steep thick seam. This paper states a geological condition of the trial working face, the equipments used and trial procedure. It also briefly goes further with mining recovery rate, mine refuse percentage, a depth of a sub-level and caving procedure of a sub-level caving method.更多还原
