高密度多丝室中性粒子探测器的研究
THE INVESTIGATION OF THE HIGH DENSITY MULTIWIRE PROPORTIONAL CHAMBER AS A DETECTOR FOR NEUTRAL PARTICLES
【摘要】 本文描述了一种位置灵敏多丝正比室,其有效面积为200×200mm~2,多丝室与多层铅γ射线转换体相配合,组成了高密度多丝室γ射线探测器.铅转换体做成均匀排布的0.9mm圆孔、孔心距1.1mm的阵列花样.探测器对511keV光子的探测效率为5.6%,空间分辨1mm.这种探测器已经被用在正电子相机研究工作中,也可以用于探测X射线.
【Abstract】 This paper describes a position sensitive multiwire proportional chamber with effective areaof 200×200 mm~2.The chamber combining with multi-layer lead γ-ray converter form a highdensity multiwire proportional chamber γ-ray detector.The lead converter is made in auniformlyarranged matrix of 0.9 mm diameter holes on a 1.1 mm pitch.For 511keV photons the detectionefficiency is 5.6%,and the spatial resolution is 1 mm.The detector has been used in theinvestigation of positron camera,it also offers possibility for X-ray detection.
