【Abstract】 The location of trigeminal motor neurons and the number of cells innervating the anterior digastric muscle in the rat were observed following retrograde trasport of horseradish peroxidase. Unilateral injection of horseradish peroxidase into the muscle resulted in bilateral labelling of cell in the ventromedial region of the caudal trigeminal nucleus. The number of cells on the i(?)silateral side (side of injection) was far more than that in the contra—lateral nucleus. This indicates that the bilateral innervation is achieved not by collateral branching from a single cell group but by two populations of cells.更多还原
