【摘要】 <正> in this work, we use the results obtained from the analyses of selection effects in the identification of emission lines of quasars presented in the previous papers to determine the evolutionary property of quasars, The samples consist of the quasars with an absolute magnitude less than certain values selected from surveys with the similar limiting apparent magnitude. Assuming that the evolutionary law of quasars has the form of (1+z)γ, the analysis shows that γ(??)3—4.5 for quasars selected with the slitless technique, i, e. the density of quasars evolves according to the power law ρ=ρ0 (1+z)6.5+1. This result coincides with observations very well so far the redshift z=2.8, and is also compatible with the results from smaller samples or previous surveys with lower limiting apparent magnitudes.
