第四纪地质研究在水文地质工程地质工作中的意义
SIGNIFICANCE OF QUATERNARY GEOLOGICAL RESEARCH IN HYDROGEOLOGICAL AND ENGINEERING GEOLOGICAL SURVEYS
【摘要】 第四纪地质的研究是水文地质工程地质的重要基础工作.一些大的第四纪沉积盆地、第四纪沉积物的分布和结构、新构造运动的性质等,决定着水文地质条件及其变化规律.第四纪沉积物的形成及形成后的表生地质作用,对沉积物的岩性、结构、物理—力学性质等一系列工程地质特性有着重要影响.现代物理地质现象的发生发展,是以区域的第四纪古地质环境为背景的.第四纪地质研究对水文地质工程地质工作的意义愈加深远.
【Abstract】 Quaternary geological research is an important basic work for hydrogeolo-gical and engineering geological investigations. Conditions and variations of hydrogeology, in some big Quaternary sedimentary basins, are controlled by distribution and structures of Quaternary sediments, and by neotectonic move, ments. After the formation of Quaternary sediment, its surficial geological function has influenced greatly the lithologic association, texture, physical mechanic property and other engineering geological characters of the sediment. The development of modern physical geology is in the regional geological environment of Quaternary, so the Quaternary geologic research becomes more important to hydrogeologic and engineering geologic work.
