【Abstract】 This paper presents a survey of dental plaque made on a house-to-house basis in 2191 elderly residents in Beijing by random sampling.The dental plaques on cach surface of the specific teeth examined(?)were graded according to se-verity as O°,Ⅰ°,Ⅱ°,or Ⅲ°.The observations on 34948 tooth surfaces show that(1)the occurrence of dental plaque in the order of frequency is Ⅱ°>Ⅰ°>Ⅲ°>O°.(2)the relative frequency varies from region to region with the educational level and occupation of the individual,and(3)the key link to bring dental plaque under control is the mechanical cleaning of proper and effective tooth-brushing.更多还原
