【Abstract】 The dry socket occur not rarely after tooth extraction.Up to now,its etiology is still unknown.Though there are a lot of methods having been used to prevent it,none of them is satisfactory.The authors made an observation on 200 patients.The powder of metronidazole were put into the mandibular third molar sockets after the teeth being extracted in 100 patients,and another 100 patients were used as control.The double-blind method was used.The effects of two groups were compared by counting the number of bacteria being taken from the sockets.The results suggested that metronidazole plays a significant role in preventing the occurrence of dry socket,and the occurrence of dry socket has a close relationship with the infection of anaerobia.更多还原
