【Abstract】 The expression for the deflection of multistory, multibay proportioned frames subjected to a lateral point load is obtained by utilizing the concept of the equivalent bent. The curves of influence coefficients are then drawn for preliminary design. It is found that the deformtion characteristics depend on a simple parameter aH and the frame deforms virtually in a shear configuration if the value of aH exceeds 10 to 15.更多还原
