【Abstract】 This Paper discusses the existent problems in the process planning at factories and the necessity of developing the computer-aided process system.A simple computer-aided process planning system-JYCAPP is designed. This system, based on the group technegy, is of a retrieval type. It outputs the process sheet in Chinese. Examples are included to illustrate the input process and the output sheet as well as the possible benefits brought by the CAPP.
