【Abstract】 This paper dicusses axially symmetric Lamb’ s problem for an inhomogeneous medium whose elastic parameters and mass density vary as the square of the depth. We first investigate the Rayleigh wave dispersion curve for this kind of medium and find that the three—dimensional medium has the same curve as the two—dimenional medium. And then we explore the disturbance generated by a suddenly acted surface point load and obtain the exact solutions of the displacements in the elastic half—space and on the surface.更多还原
