乙烯基单体自由基聚合阻聚反应——Ⅵ.2,2,6,6-四甲基-4-羟基哌啶氧自由基对苯乙烯聚合的阻聚效应
INHIBITORS FOR RADICAL POLYMERIZATION OF VINYL MONOMERS Ⅵ. THE INHIBITION EFFECT OF 2,2,6,6-TETRAMETHYL-4-HYDROXYLPIPERIDIENE-OXYL ON AIBN INITIATED RADICAL POLYMERIZATION OF STYRENE
【摘要】 用膨胀计法,研究了2,2,6,6-四甲基-4-羟基哌啶氧自由基(TMHPO·)及一些醌、酚类化合物对偶氮二异丁腈(AIBN)引发的苯乙烯(St)自由基聚合的阻聚效应。结果表明,当 St在80℃聚合时,加入TMHPO·或TMHPO·-BQ(苯醌),阻聚效果较为显著。如与通用阻聚剂 TBC及HQ(对苯二酚)等比较,聚合反应诱导期明显延长,聚合反应速率减慢。当St在120℃下进行热聚合或用AIBN引发聚合,加入TMHPO·-BQ时,聚合反应也被明显抑制。由此认为 TMHPO·-BQ复合阻聚剂,可望作为St自由基聚合的高效阻聚剂。
【Abstract】 The inhibition effect of 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-hydroxylpiperidine-oxyl (TMHPO· ) and some phenols and quinones on the AIBN initiated radical polymerization of styrene was studied by using dilatomitry method. The results show that TMHPO·and the mixture of TMHPO· and BQ are effective inhibitors for styrene polymerization at 80℃.This is demonstrated by the fact that the polymerization induction period is remarkably prolonged and the polymerization rate is reduced, as compared with normal styrene polymerization systems that contain the ordinary inhibitors, such as TBC and HQ, etc. Thermally or AIBN initiated styrene polymerization at 120℃ is also obviously inhibited by TMHPO·-BQ.This indicates that the complex inhibitor TMHPO·-BQ may be a high efficient inhibitor system for radical initiated styrene polymerization.
