【Abstract】 A total of 320 unrelated individuals from the Liaoning area, China, have been t ped for red cell PGM₁ using isoelectric focusing（PH5—7） in thin—layer polyacry lamide gels. 10 subtypes are considered as gene products of 4 alleles at PGM₁ locus with the following frequencies. PGM₁¹⁺=0.6240, PGM₁^1-=0.1240,PGM₁²⁺=0.1755, PGM₁^2-=0.0765. A rare variant PGM₁⁸ as well as a new rare variant PGM₁ China is reported and the pedigree study about this new variant has been carried out. T hePI of this new variant is also determined. The discriminatingpowe（DP） of the PGM₁ is 0.76. A example of the application PGM₁ in individual identification case is attached to this paper.更多还原
