乙丙共聚物的辐射交联
THE RADIATION CROSSLINKING OF ETHYLENE-PROPYLENE COPOLYMER
【摘要】 本文报导了由双环戊二烯为第三单体的三元乙烯丙烯共聚物(简称EPDM)的辐射交联。在高剂量范围内EPDM辐射交联按无规交联进行,实验数据符合Charlesby-Pinner关系式。在低剂量范围内,由双环戊二烯提供的聚合物链内不饱和双键参与和加速EPDM的辐射交联,使EPDM辐射交联出现非无规交联过程。添加多官能团化合物二苯甲烷双马来酰亚胺(简称MI),从外部向EPDM提供活性双键引发和加速EPDM辐射交联。引入不饱和双键的方式虽然不同,但都能使EPDM起到辐射强化交联的作用。测定了辐射交联EPDM的结构和性能。
【Abstract】 This paper reports the radiation crosslinking reaction of three-compo-nent ethylene-propylene copolymer (EPDM). The reaction taking place in random athigh dose range obeyes Charlesby-Pinner equation and Chen-Liu-Tang equation. Atlow dose range radiation crosslinking of EPDM is enhanced due to the presence ofthird monomer (bis-(cyclopentadiene)) which accelerates the reaction with its doublebond. The radiation crosslirking reaction is also accelerated by the addition of MI.The radiation crosslinked EPDM containing 50-70% gel was obtained with the ad-dition of 1% MI in 2-4 Mrad dose range. The structures and properties of the radiation crosslinked EPDM were measured.The mechanical property and thermal property had been improved. The tg δ maintainsin the order of 10-3. It is expected that the radiation crosslinked EPDM may be a promising materialfor making insulated wire, cable and heat shrinkable tubing.
