【Abstract】 The automated generalization of submarine relief is the most important part of auto-mated compilation of chart. The algorithm presented here for automated sounding sele-ction is based on the area characteristics and distribution of soundings. The automaticsimplification of depth contours depends upon the feature of curves which is determinedwith "positive and negative" method. The automatic selection of the quality of sea bot-tom is also included in the paper.更多还原
