【Abstract】 For better health care of the elderly we made a study of diseases, and social and psychologicalfactors, that promote the aging process. 1495 subjects aged 40 and above in a residential area inBeijing were examined. Five signs fo aging, 13 classes of diseases, and 89 social and psychologicalfactors were studied. The results of statistical research of the data suggested: (1) Comprehensivevalues of 5 signs of aging and age showed linear relation, after reaching 70 the rate of aging sloweddown. (2) Although signs of aging showed no difference in sex, but marked difference was noticed insex with regard to age. Before 55 the female appeared to be older than the male, but after 55 themale looked older than the female. (3) Both the diseases, and social and psychological factors exertinfluence upon the signs of aging, but the influence of social and psychological factors seemed to bemore marked.更多还原
