【Abstract】 35 cases of forehead flaps, 26 total and 9 partial, were used in our hospital for repairing the postoperative defects of head and neck carcinoma, from January 1965 to August 1984.Of the 35 cases, 13 were used for nosal reconstruction, n for repairing through and through cheek defect, g for filling defect of eye-socket, and 3 for other purposes. The result were all except one successful.We think that forehead flap is fitting reconstruction of the nose and immedeate repairing defects of different types of the face and oral cavity because of its rich vascular supply, excellent colour match and texture compatibility. The main disadvantage is alte-retion of the forehead appearance but it can be improved with hair or cap covering.更多还原
