【Abstract】 42 patients with myxedematous endemic cretinism presented stund in growth, mental retardation, impairment of hearing and speech, and other signs of hypothyroidism. In addition, radiographs showed mainly retardation of bone age, epiphyseal dysgenesis, and enlargement of sella turcica; electrocardiographs showed low voltage, low or reverse T wave, and disturbances of atrioventricular conduction; serum T4 and T3 PBI, uptake of 131I into thyroid gland 24hr after an oral dose, and urinary excretion of iodine were all lower than normal, while serum TSH and serum cholesterol levels increased markedly.更多还原
