铝电解自焙阳极过电压的研究
ANODIC OVERVOLTAGE ON SODERBERG ANODE IN ALUMINIUM ELECTROLYSIS CELLS
【摘要】 本研究采用改良的“L”型铝参比电极,测量了6万A自焙阳极上的阳极过电压。发现,在正常电流密度范围内,阳极过电压在0.4V左右。实验室的研究结果进一步表明,电流密度对过电压的影响符合Tafel方程,其中a=0.44,b=0.30,反应级数P=0.42。 在实验的基础上,讨论了阳极过电压机理,认为阳极过电压的控制步骤是由于CxO·O→CO2(ad)+(X-1)C分解缓慢所致。文中给出了阳极过程可能的结构模型。
【Abstract】 In this paper a "L"-type aluminium reference electrode was used to measure the anodic overvoltage on the soderberg anode in industrial aluminium electrolysis cells. It was found that the anodic overvoltage was about 0.4V when the anotic current density was 0.89A/cm~2. The experimental results were checked in laboratory cells with the same type of carbon anode within a wide range of anodic current densities. A Tafel equation was foundη=0.44+0.30 lg iThe anodic reaction occurred on the anode were also discussed. It was assumed that the anodic overvoltage arised mainly from a retardation of decomposition reactions with the liberation of C_x O.O.
