【Abstract】 Based on the analysis of the molecular structure of some mud thinners in relation to their performance, a concept of molecule designing is formulated for thinners to have high-temperature stability and contamination tolerance.The concept is proved to be true in mud tests on a series of commercial and specially synthesized thinners with varying concentrations of ionisable groups.The thinning mechamism is also presented according to the experimental results.更多还原
