【Abstract】 The newly synthesized anthelminthic, Oxibendazole, was used to treat 114 patients with nematode infections on an oral dose 15 mg/kg per day for 3 successive days. Results showed that the negative conversion rates of hookworm eggs were 84.6% and 75% for tablet and capsule respectively (p>0.05); those of ascaris and whipworm eggs were 92.85% and 83.3% respectively.The drug wrs equally efficacious for both Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus.
