【Abstract】 Sinus node clectrograms (SNE) were recorded during postpaeing atrial pauses byusing transvenous electrode catheter.The pauses with multiple repetitive regularlocal SNE were defined as positive pauses,those without SNE as negative ones.It could he found that there were no positive pauses in normal subjects or pa-tients with simple bradycardia.But two types of pause could be seen in patients withsick sinus syndrome,the positive pauses being significantly longer than the negativeones.(Mean length 3211.7±1311 ms vs 1368±494.2 ms,P<0.0005) One patient with ta-chycardia-bradycardia syndrome had the same positive pause after the cessation ofSVT.Suggested that they might have same mechanisms.It was concluded that therewere two possibilities during postpacing atrial pauses;a transitional sinus quiescenceor sinoatrial block.However,the mechanism and level of the block were not clearyet.更多还原
