【Abstract】 1 ml extract of fresh pig spleen was injected to each male rat and normal saline was used in the control group.One and half hours after injection of spleen extract the blood testosterone increased significantly (75.8%,P<0.01).This effect was blocked by morphine given for three days(1 mg/100g) prior to injection of the extract.No difference of cyclic AMP in hypothalamus was found between the groups with spleen extract and the control whether morphine was injected.According to these results we infer that the effect of spleen extract on the serum testosterone in exerted possibly via hypothalamus or the centers over hypothalamus.Whether the effect is mediated by second messenger cAMP remains to be solved.更多还原
