【Abstract】 A method for determining the acid-base strength distribution on solid catalyst surface using Hammett indicators in non-polar solvents was introduced. Also disscussed were the difference and relation between the zero acidbase strength H_{0, max}, the effective charge of combined oxygen（γ） and the zero point charge（ZPC）.
