【Abstract】 In this paper the buffer behaviour of pH and the degumming effect of the boiling-off liquor have been studied. The weight method, viscosi-metric analysis and determination of (α + ε)-amino group are employed in the study of the relationship between the degrees of the degumming loss and the fibroin damage, and the added amount of the protective agent and the amount of degumming time.
