HEMODYNAMIC EFFECTS OF NALOXONE ON CAINE ENDOTOXIN SHOCK IN COMPARISON WITH EFFECTS OF ANISODAMINE AND SOMATIC NERVES STIMULATION
【Abstract】 After E. coli endotoxin (5mg/kg) was injected i. v. into anesthetized dogs to Induce circulatory shock, naloxone (a bolus of 1mg/kg i. v. followed by an infusion of 1 mg/kg i.v. within 60 min) caused an increase in mean arterial blood pressure, left intraventricular systolic pressure, positive and negative dp/dt max and the area of cardiac force loop. The renal blood flow and urinary outflow showed no significant change during the naloxone-infuskm period. After cessation of the naloxone-infusion, no significant changes in any of the parameters were observed, as compared with preinfusion values. All the naloxone-treated animals died within 20 hours after endotoxin injection. Among 3 different approaches we have studied so far, i. e., anisodamine, naloxone and stimulation of the deep peroneal nerve, anisodamine in endotoxin-shocked dogs produced the best hemodynamio effects.
