【Abstract】 The seed culture and crystal growth of KDP,DKDP and ADPcrystsls with large cross section have been described.In order to acceleratethe cultivation of suitable KDP seeds（210×210mm²）,EDTA complexes wereadded to the KDP silution.The seed crystal can be selected from thetransparent crystal cone,the Z-cut crystal plate or the oblique cut crystalplate according to the uses of crystals and the growth conditions.The properorientation of seed is very important for the growth of large KDP crystalswith perfect macroscopic symmetry.In order to minimize the effects of lightscattering in crystals due to insoluble particles,the solvent and culture fluidwere filtrated by using a filter film with meshes of about 0.3μm.In addition,a small quantity of potassium EDTA was added to the culture fluid to hinderthe detrimental ions to get into the crystal lattice.Finally,large crystalsof less scattering and excellent optical homogeneity were grown.The inho-mogeity of refractive index is A（n_o-n_e）≤10^-6.更多还原
