【摘要】 本文综述了国际上末端系统(End-System)和联网机(Gateway)中网络协议应用软件标准化测试的基本方法、测试系统以及测试控制数据的定义方法,分析了现有各类系统和方法中存在的问题与缺点。本文还借用“渡船”的概念,探讨了解决现有各类系统中存在的问题的新途径,并由此而引出了测试联网机的穿越回绕法以及测试末端系统的回绕渡船法。更多还原

【Abstract】 This is a comprehensive review of the techniques of conformance test for protocol implementation in end-systems as well as in gateways. Basic testing approaches for the two types of network systems are discussed and analysed. The discussion on gateway testing is based on the author’s own work. A novel concept called the "Ferry" is introduced and results in the new loop-back ferry approach for end-systems and the transverse looping approach for gateways.
