【Abstract】 Experimental investigation is made on burning fuel mixed with methanol in a swirl chamber diesel engine. The methanol-diesel emulsion formation and methanol-air mixing are treated at length. According to the ignition delay and the rate of pressure rise, etc., the combustion characteristics with different ways of using fuel mixtures are discussd.
