胶州湾东北角小海湾底质中有孔虫和介形类的研究
STUDY OF FORAMINIFERA AND OSTRACODA FROM SURFACE SEDIMENTS IN A SMALL BAY OF NORTHEASTERN JIAOZHOU BAY, SHANDONG
【Abstract】 The assemblages of foraminifera and ostracode which were collected from surface sediments in a small bay located at the northeastern Jiaozhou Bay, Shandong are studied. The water depths are 0-5.33m and the environments are referred to intertidal flat, tidal channel and shallow subtidal "zones there. The temperature and salinity of surface water were 25.67℃ and 30.74‰ inAugust, 1980 and 2.52℃ and 30.71‰ in February, 1981 determined at the mouth of the small bay respectively. 64 species of Foraminiferal and 56 of Ostracoda are found in total. Among them 22 foraminiferal species and 25 ostracode species are referred to the living, but for the species numbers of foraminifera and Ostracoda within the variability (95% in the total shells) are only 15 and 19 (the total) and 9 and 15 (the living) respectively, which are rather low. The diversities H(S) are also low, mostly no more than 2, but the average dominances are quite high (>45%). These characters, lower diversities and variabilities and higher dominances, are closely related to the environments. The Ammonia beccarii vars. assemblage of foraminifera is dominated by the species Ammonia beccarii (Linne) vars. (55.9% in the total and 77.6% in the living). The ostracode assemblage Bicornucythere bisanensis-Loxoconcha ocellata is subdivided into two subassemblages, the intertidal flat Loxoconcha ocellata subassemblage which is dominated by the species Loxoconcha ocellata Ho (81.5% in the total and 77.3% in the living) and the tidal channel-subtidal Bicornucy-there bisanensis-Sinocytheridea latiovata subassemblage which is dominated by 3 species Bicornucy there bisanensis (Okubo), Sinocytheridea latiovata Hou et Chen and Neomonoceratina crispata Hu.The factors controling distribution of Foraminifera and Ostracoda are discussed. First, water depth acts as the most important factor in the small bay. It controls numbers of species and test (or shell), i. e. the numbers increase along with increasing water depth from north to south and from tidal flat to tidal channel and subtidal zone. It also controls the distribution of genera and species. Secondly, the conditions of hydrodynamics and substrata take a second place. Because the investigated area is too small to make differences of salinity and temperature, it is difficult to discuss the influences of solinity and temperature on distribution of foraminifera and ostracode.
