【Abstract】 Four hundred and forty-nine strains of staphylococcus aureus were collected from our hospital and the community. They were typed by an international basic set of typing phages prepared by the Central Public Health Laboratory Service, Colindale, London. we have improved the method for propagating the phage and raised the rate of typability of S. aureus to 91. 54%. The method of reverse phage-typing is recommended, because not only does it increase the rate of typing but also it may be helpful in discovering new strains of S. aureus.更多还原
