The contents of trace elements in hair of 90 longevous females in Shanghai have been determined by using radioisotope source excited energy despersive X-ray fluorescence analysis. It was found that the contents of Sr, Fe, Mn and Ca decreased gradually with the degree of deficient damage. The cecrease of Ni content in Qi deficiency syndrome was also observed.
