【Abstract】 Grain Production in China is far from that in grain exporting countries in the world. In 1984, the average per capita grain was 785.9 jin in the country, while that on weibei Highland was 747 jin. For this reason, in(?)readjusting the structure of industry in the rural areas, we should carry out the principle suitable to local conditions that we must by no means relax our efforts for grain production and actively develop a diversified economy in agriculture.A diversified ecouomy in agriculture can be developed on Weibei Rainfed Highland. The wasted mountains and slopes are the main lands for developing forestry(?) and livestock production. Developing forestry in farmlands should center on afforestation on the four sides (i. e(?)road sides, village sides, irrigation canal sides and house sides),and developing livestock production should base on farm and sideline products and forage crops and feeds produced in rational rotation system with priority given to grain production. Raising single grain output with wheat yield in particular is the preconditions for readjusting the structure of crop planting patterns, In addition, light and heat resources are rich in this region with an annual rainfall of 550 mm or so. Thus, in the case of doing a good job in storage of water and preservation of moisture for the top soil, bettering land fertility is a key link for raising single crop output.Bettering land fertility depends on not only rational distribution, biofertilizering lands and application of organic manures, but also incraasing application of chemical fertilizers so as to make full use of rainfall, light and heat resources for raising single crop output,thus,taking the organic agricultural road by feeding lands with biofertilizers in connection with application of chemical fertilizers. Moreover, application of chemical fertilizers should be according to such factors as soil and fertile conditions, crop varieties and output indexes,being suitable to local conditions.更多还原
