【Abstract】 The pollen plants induced from Populus Xiaohei were roughly divided into two types, green bark and coarse bark. The dissection observation on the leaves of both types was made and compared with Populus Xiaohei. The result shows that the pollen plant leaves are thicker than the leaves of P. Xiaohei and simiar to that of P. nigra. The outer cuticle of epidermal cells of pollen plants is about the same as that of P. Xiaohei but the pollen plant epidermal cells are larger. The stomata number and size of pollen plant leaves are similar to that of P.Xiaohei, too. The shape of petiole transverse section of the coarse bark type is also similar to that of P. Xiaohei, but has got two more vascular bande, meanwhile the shape of petiole transverse section of the green bark type is long oval. The mesophylls of both pollen plants are looser than that of P.
