【Abstract】 Suppose that the mass transefr and the momentum transfer are analogous in the mine turbulence. By means of the theory of turbulent transfer with considering its physical sense,Ky (the diffusion coefficient of transverse turbulence of the pollutant in mine tunnel)and Ky (the average value of the coefficient on cross section)can be obtained as follows.where a=the radius of mine tunnelU = the average velocity of the wind on cross sectiona = the friction factor Re = the Reynolds’ numberr = the transverse dimensionThere is very satisfactory agreement between the theoretical value and the experimental result in a long wind tunnel.
