【Abstract】 The development of past and existing ship types has well demonstrated that the development of "Special Equipment" which serves the major function of the "Ship" is an active factor in the course of development of ship types. Many new ship types have emerged as the natural results of the development of "Special Equipment", and this has been fully proved by the evolution of many ship types.The coming years are sure to be still the golden ages of the development of "Special Equipment", and many ship types including container ship, Ro/Ro and barge carrier will get ahead. New cargo handling philosophies and systems will come up and will then bring forth new ship types. The "Platform" will obtain its consequential development with the evolution of "Special Equipment".更多还原
