【Abstract】 Microinjection of α-interferon into lateral ventricles or periaqueductal grey matter might induce marked increase in the pain threshold in rats. But the concentrations of 5-HT and 5-HIAA in telencephalon and brainstem did not show any change, and only in diencephalon the 5-HT obviously decreased. It showed that the analgesic action of interferon was not concerned with the concentration of 5-HT in brain.It is probably that interferon belongs to another kind of analgesics, exerting its effect not through the process of releasing 5-HT or combining with opiate receptors.更多还原
