【Abstract】 The performances of two improved strains of Pekin ducks Z-1 and Z 2, and their hybrids were compared with the local unimproved ducks. The viability nf percentages of Z-1, Z-2 and Z-2×Z-1 lucks compared with the control at 7 weeks of age were 96.7, 93.8, 95.9 vs 97.7% respectively (P>0.05); and their average body weights were 2998, 3159, 3095 vs 2378 g respectively (P<0.01), being 26%, 33% and 30% higher than that of the control group. Accumulative feed efficiencies of 7 weeks were 3.22, 3.27, 3.04 vs 3.24 respectively. The dressing weight percentage of crossducks was higher than that of the control group (87.8 vs 85.8%, P<0.05), and so was the percentage weight of fat plus skin (30.5% vs 28.7%, P<0.05). The ditterence of the percentage weight of breast plus leg muscles between these two groups was not significant (22.3 vs 21.8 P>0.05).更多还原
