【Abstract】 It was required to interface a LSI-11 / 23 microcomputer to a PDP-11 / 45 Unibus in such a way that a contiguous segment of the LSI address space is mapped into the address space of PDP Unibus. The interconnection is such that both read, write and read-pause operetions can be performed on the Unibus. The goal of this arrangement is to run the PDP and LSI in parallel, sharing a common memory block. The PDP can be used to set up a program segment in the shared memory, and then LSI executes it. The two machines would communicate through a reserved set of locations in the common memory block. This paper deals with the design of hardware interface. A block diagram is presented.更多还原
