【Abstract】 Colony stimulating factor is a substance which acts on the stage of pro-liferation and differtiation of G-M colony forming unit. It exists in bodyfluid and in the medium of cell culture as well. Two methods are requiredto separate it from body fluid and from the medium of conditioned cell cult-ure. It has been known that counting of colonies in the cell culture canonly be performed to demonstrate the existence of colony forming unit.Titration of colony stimulating factor may be expressed in term of coloniesforming in the cell culture. Proliferation and deffirentiation of myelocyte-macrophage system can be enhanced to form colonies under the action of co-lony stimulating factor separated from a variety of sources. Colony stimula-ting factor has been separated successfully from amniotic fluid by the author.It differs in molecular weight from those of other sources and a variation inspeed exists in colony formation of G-M system.更多还原
