【Abstract】 The phenomenon of pressing close to each other of vegetative nucleus, generative cell and sperm cell of mature pollen grains were observed under artificial germination conditions.The mature pollen grains of Allium fislulosum L., Allium tuberosum Rottler ex Sprengel, Tradescantia Paludosa, Papaver rho-eas L. and Solanum nigrum L. were used as materials for observation.The patterns of pressing close to each other of vegetative nucleus and generative cell in developing pollen tubes are diversified.The pressing close of them are usually looked as two wedges against to each other from opposite directions. Sometimes the vegetative nucleus and the generative cell press closed to each other side by side in pollen tube and are parallel to its direction. Some vegetative nucleus is U-shaped and embraces the generative cell. Sometimes this nucleus and this cell twist each other. when the generative cell divides into two sperm cells, the vegetative nucleus always presses close to one of the sperm cells. As shown in the patterns observed, there might be a close exchange of substances between the vegetative nucleus and the two sperm cells. According to the facts observed,the phenomenon of pressing close to each other of vegetative nucleus and generative cell is an objective reality. perhaps, this phenon-menon is widespread in the angiosperms.更多还原
