【Abstract】 The anticorrosive mechanisms of amines were studied and an anticorro- sire equation was advanced in accordance with the absorption and the molecu- lar orbital concepts.The percentage inhibition efficiency IE=Cω,where C is inhibition factor,and ω coverage density.C can be controlled by the operation temperature and time,while ω is controlled by the structure of amines used.It has been established experimentally that the anticorrosive function of amines is not increased as their molecular weight increases.
